Rudimental approached me to create a way of bringing fans into the live show experience during their Australia tour. The idea was simple in theory, but needed to work seamlessly in a high-pressure, live environment – allowing thousands of people in a crowd to interact instantly, without friction.

THE CONCEPT & EXPERIENCE
Rudimental approached me to create a way of bringing fans directly into the live show experience during their Australia tour.
A QR code was displayed on the main stage screen, allowing fans to scan and instantly access a mobile-optimised web experience. From there, they could open their camera, capture a moment from the crowd, and submit it in real time.
Those submissions were sent live to the backstage team, who could review and select the best images to be displayed on the big screen during the performance – turning the audience into part of the show itself.
THE BUILD & RESULT
I designed and built the full experience end-to-end, focusing on speed, clarity, and reliability in a live environment.
The interface was built mobile-first for low-light, fast-paced conditions, with a frictionless capture and upload flow. Submissions were routed instantly using webhook automation (via Zapier), feeding directly into a live content pipeline for the backstage team.
The experience saw strong engagement throughout the tour, with high participation from the crowd. It also functioned as a seamless email capture tool, collecting audience data in a natural, non-intrusive way.
